Introduction

Maglić Peak rises to an elevation of 2386 m above sea level. It is the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in the Sutjeska Massif. The journey to the summit leads along slightly steep and demanding trails. The route is well marked and does not require specialized climbing skills. The trail can be tackled by most people, but it is good to be prepared for a longer hike.

Weather

In the summer, the temperature on the trail can reach about 20-25°C, but it will be significantly cooler at higher elevations. The conditions are usually good, but there may be occasional rain showers. It is worth bringing appropriate rain gear.

In the winter, you can expect snow on the trail, and the temperature can drop to below -10°C. Due to the large amount of snow and unpredictable weather, we recommend hiking to Maglić Peak in the summer months.
