Introduction

We are dealing here with a small but charming peak at an elevation of 509 m above sea level. The trail is gentle and does not require any special climbing skills. It is suitable for people of all ages, including children.

Weather

In the summer, moderate temperatures usually range from 15-25°C at this altitude. The conditions are pleasant, and the trail is dry and well visible. Summer is the best time to climb this peak, as the days are long and the weather is stable.

In winter, temperatures drop to -10°C, and snow can be encountered on the trail. The way to the summit may be difficult due to ice or mud, so it is worth having appropriate footwear and additional layers of clothing.

How to get there?

The nearest airport is Almaty Airport, from where you can reach Nurly village, the starting point of the trail. After landing in Almaty, you can rent a car or use bus connections to reach Nurly.

Trailhead

The trailhead is located in the center of Nurly village. There is a small parking lot nearby where you can safely leave your car before starting the hike.

Route to the summit

The trail leads through hilly terrain, with gentle ascents and descents. The signage is clear and legible. Reaching the summit takes about 4 hours. No additional climbing equipment is required - comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for prevailing weather conditions are sufficient.

Accommodation

There are no mountain huts on the way to the summit, but due to the easy trail and short hiking time, overnight accommodation is not necessary. However, you may consider staying in Nurly before starting the hike to set out early in the morning to enjoy the views of the surrounding landscapes.
